Place it in God's Hands

Life.

This world moves so fast these days there is no time to think.
Many times in life we make decisions based on the moment
And we do not consider the future consequences.
By the time we face the consequences of our actions, it's too late

We find ourselves lost in the moment.
Not knowing what to do, and wondering how we got to where we are
We try to trace our steps back to where it all went wrong...
Who to blame? And all the things that should have been done different.

But it's too late.
Thinking about it won't help any one.
You're stuck in today.
You're stuck with the now.

Time to look to where you wanna be
Leave friends that weigh you down
Fix your eyes on Christ,
Pick up your cross and start marching forward

Yes, there may have been some people you disappointed
Some people you have hurt
Whether they forgive you, it's up to them
Place it in God's hands

What is a friend?

"To me a friend is a companion.
My safe of secrets
The one who knows my deepests fears and my WILDEST dreams
The one who sees my tears
The one who feels my hurt
And always gives me a reason to smile
Someone who will stand up for me
Someone who corrects me

And I am glad I found that in you

Having friends is wonderful,
But what is the cost of a friend in Christ?
What is the cost of someone who prays for you? Encourages you to keep going for Christ? And loves you with the love of God?
            P R I C E L E S S!
Such friends are rare, and they are vessels God uses to reveal Himself to me

I thank God for you my dearest friend…

Our Journey

For Rannie:

" I may no talk to you, for it may seem as though I have left you behind; you may may think that i have forgotten you; But we're all just pilgrims on individual journeys. Although we may seem distant; Just know that each step that takes me further, I leave behind a prayer trail. That should you ever wish to come on track.......You'll know which path to follow."

Christian Writers

Some of the most inspirational people God has used are writers. May God continue to bless their hands and bless that ministry!! If it were not for writers, there would be no Bible, no books from Christian authors to guide us in life. God bless those Christians who testified the power of God in their lives and left behind evidence of God’s faithfulness for those of us in the coming generations to be encouraged through their books. These authors have done so prayerfully and obediently to the Spirit of the LORD. Reading books by Dr. Myles Munroe, C.S. Lewis and E.M. Bounds are all very encouraging. As a young person, advice is limited, I cannot always be near my parents and elders and pastor to seek advice. My friends knowledge are limited and sometimes are not in a position to give advice because we are all on the same level. But the can lend an ear, which is something I am truly blessed to have.
But apart from reading the Bible, yes, the Bible is confirmation. It is like the final judge, I listen to advice, absorb information from numerous sources, where they be audio, videos, books, articles, daily breads or webpages, and then if I am still not certain, God never fails to confirm all these through His Word. Truly the Bible is the Living Word and there is no doubt about it!

From reading books from Christian authors who testify of God’s love and power in their lives, I have been inspired to write about mine. You know, many people are facing the same problems, battling the same battles but nobody want to talk about it. Some merely suck it up and suffer alone, afraid that no one would understand, but the truth is: this is a small earth and has been around for quite some time, so I am sure there is not a problem in the twenty-first century that has not been experienced in the past. Different circumstance, but same principles apply.

Relationship.

The world portrays relationships as giving you 100% attention 24/7 to a single person, if not then that is not a relationship at all. But this is a utopia! It is impossible for one person to give their 100% attention 24/7 to a single person, IMPOSSIBLE! No wonder relationships don’t work out these days, society has molded relationships to be founded upon dependency rather than interdependence. This is probably the reason why there are too many unproductive clingy relationships these days that start off at a high note, followed by marriage and it all ends in divorce. Parents share their experiences with their children but society has manipulated the minds of the young that they believe that these is all nonsense. But realistically speaking, talking to someone every single day is absolutely bizarre! Constantly checking up on someone is silly, the only people that do that are parents. Then there comes over protectiveness and abuse because people don’t want to feel as though they aren’t worth anything. But this just strips people of freedom. A relationship should not be dictated; but guided. You should not have to do things because you HAVE TO; but because you WANT TO. It is about commitment. The commitment of the heart, and this can only be tested, not by everybody knowing about your every single move with the person you are in a relationship with, but by everybody not knowing. Yes, it may seem old fashioned, but reality check; what modern methods of relationships are working? Our grandparents had long lasting relationships, but as we reach our parents generation things began to change, and here we are today. It’s a totally different ball game, new court, new people but the game is still the same. Not many people still uphold such values as: honour and respect for the other, or patience and sex after marriage.  But to find a person with such values is most definitely worth the wait…

Intelligence

"I always thought that the highest level of intelligence stops at university. But now that I am here, I see that this is not the case. What is intelligence? Scientists, doctors and professors even the top students of your class would be the most ideal figure in mind. What about the carpenter, or the clerk; a taxi driver, nurse or the janitor? Are they not equally intelligent? Why are they marginalized? I believe that intelligence does not depend on the number of degrees you obtain, or the amount of money written on your pay check or the number of people you know. Dictionaries define intelligence as, “the ability to comprehend; to understand and profit from experience” Intelligence boils down to common sense and learning from past experiences of self and others. It is all about making smart decisions in regards to life. What is a smart decision? Smart decisions are based on actions you do today knowing that it will have a positive impact on your future. Smart decisions such as; getting enough rest at night knowing that you have an exam the next day or not going out on the weekend knowing that you have an assignment on Monday. These little things, almost insignificant are the basis of intelligence. Smart decisions are also taking heed of advice from those who are concerned about you. Proverbs 12:1 states, “Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.” Most young people find themselves in challenging situations simply because they refuse to take heed of advice. Why are so many young girls pregnant? So many young people with HIV/AIDS and STI’s, so many young people married without a job or a house? They refused to take heed of instructions, warnings, advices that were given; intelligence is what separates men from all other living things, common sense. But clearly people lack common sense, and in so they lack intelligence."

For Bette

i never thought today would've been the last time I'd see you
I never though that you would leave this soon
I never thought I'd have to live without you one day
I always though that we would see life through
Sometimes I wonder that things should've happened differently
And other times, my mind can't seem to work

I feel a part of me is gone, but I still wear that smile
Some days I feel like I'm drowning in sorrow
Dear Lord, I don't know how to face tomorrow
I don't understand why You took her away
But I put my trust in You
Because I can't think of anything else to do

Just when everything seems to be going right
I feel it's caving in
I think about all the things we did, times we shared
They're now all just memories
I wasn't ready for you to leave
And now I'm lost in between

But i'll just thank God for the time He allowed us to have you
A part of you is in each of us, and it is only through God's grace
We can face each day.

- Miss you always Biggie,

“ Lord please, I pray in Jesus Name, that Thy Word be a mirrored image for me to reflect mine life upon;

that I may heed Thy correction and make a permanent change.  That from Thy Word may I not only have the wisdom to live a godly life that bringeth honour and glory unto Thou, but that I may be Thy vessel to mentor others to live a life that is pleasing unto Thou;

In Jesus Name,

Amen.”

Distance.

" Distance. A test to see how far love can travel; the art of learning to be patient. Distance. Two people on parallel paths heading towards the same junction in life. Distance. Learning to walk alone; TOGETHER.  Distance. When time turns into a brick wall that eventually gets higher and thicker between the both of you. Distance. Teaches you to trust that the other people won't leave you at the junction alone. Finally, at the end of the junction; when your parallel paths become conjoined; no matter what life throws at you; the disappointments, trials and the hardships; you will never forget that junction. Where regardless of distance; that person did not leave you there alone. Distance sets the foundation of commitment and trust. It is the process that moulds one to be an effective contributor towards the relationship. Because both know what it is like to be alone and appreciate companionship." :)

The Lord is nigh unto the broken hearted

Psalm 34: 18 -19; 22
18) “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19) Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delievereth him out of them all.”
22) “The LORD redeemeth the soul of His servants: and none of them that trust in Him shall be desolate.”

Father, Please give me strength

"Father, please give me strength and patience to await Thy perfect plan; Faith to keep me moving; wisdom to find joy through my testings and peace to know that You are still in control. Open mine eyes Father, to see Your Hand and Thy will in my life. In Jesus Name, Amen."
